Thank you for shopping with Alaska Dancer Emporium.  Below is our shopping policy.

PROCESSING:   We do our very best to ensure that your order is processed quickly and correctly.  We strive to have all in-stock orders that are placed Monday through Thursday packed and shipped within two business days of order placement.  Orders Placed Friday – Sunday may not be processed until the following Monday morning.  We only ship packages out Monday – Saturday.  We will not process or ship orders on Saturday, Sunday or Federal Holidays.

SHIPPING:  We typically ship via priority mail, but reserve the right to use other carriers depending on the circumstances.  Packages will normally be delivered within 3-5 days of shipping to most locations, but may take up to 14 days.  We ship within the United States and its territories.  We are not responsible for lost or unattended packages.  We highly recommend that customers have their packages delivered to a location where there is someone there to receive them and purchase insurance to the full value of their order.

RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND EXCHANGES:  We will allow pre-authorized returns for either a refund or store exchange under the following circumstances.  It must be pre-authorized within 7 days of receipt of the item.  All merchandise must be returned in new, unused condition with original tags, packaging and have original receipt.  Shoes must not have been worn or show any signs of wear or dirt.  Shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.  We will not refund the cost of shipping.  Tights, foundation garments, clearance and special customized orders are non-returnable.  Music and DVD’s are non-returnable if unsealed.  Items must be received back in the store in unused, undamaged, resalable condition before refund or exchange will be issued.

DAMAGED AND LOST ITEMS:  Alaska Dancer Emporium encourages all consumers to consider the risk of shipping damage and purchase insurance to fully cover their items during shipping.  Our shipping prices include insurance up to $500.00, additional insurance can be purchased if needed.  We take all measures to package your items so that they will handle the shipping process, but we cannot be held liable for the actions of other persons.  It is the responsibility of the person receiving the items to inspect them upon delivery.  If anything has been damaged due to shipping, please notify us immediately.  Alaska Dancer Emporium is not responsible for damage to items incurred during the use of the item.  It is the consumers’ responsibility to properly care for their items upon receipt. Insured packages are also protected against lost.  Please note that the Post Office requires a full 30 days before an item can be deemed lost and a claim filed.  

BACKORDERS:  Alaska Dancer Emporium strives to have items in stock at the store.  Occasionally, we may be out of a particular item.  In the event of a backorder, we will notify the customer and extend an offer for them to wait on the item to come back into stock or cancel that portion of their order.  Backorders will ship free when paid in full at time of original order.

GROUP ORDERS, CUSTOM ORDERS AND EXPRESS ORDERS:  Alaska Dancer Emporium offers group discounts for troupes, dance teams and other group orders.  We also have accounts with suppliers that allow us to have custom orders created.  Please email us your orders and we will contact you with the pricing and shipping for these orders, If you wish to have your order expedited or shipped expressed, please send your order via email with a need by date and we will contact you for payment and express shipping charges.

US SHIPPING COSTS:  Our shipping costs include insurance up to $500.00 value.  If your purchase is more than $500.00 we suggest you contact us to add additional insurance to fully cover your purchase against damage or loss.

PAYMENT:   Payment in full is expected at the time of your order placement.  If you do not wish to pay through the shopping cart, please feel free to email us your order and we can take visa or credit card over the phone. 

PRIVACY:  Your privacy is very important to us.  We do not sell, rent, or provide any customer information outside of our bank/shopping cart.
